Somehow, the Barden Bellas have returned, ascended, and colonized Mars. Much like Beca's mixes on her 2011 Macbook, we have created a confounding mashup of Pitch Perfect, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Arrival, Killers of the Flower Moon, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, insurance commercials, and a Christopher Guest mockumentary in what has been called "our least accessible episode to date". In this sequel, the writer's room of Ian, Sam, Spencer, and special guest Jon Barr have come together as a barbershop quartet that sings pitch perfect pitches (and covers of DJ Khaled music).
